This notice explains what personal data this website collects and how I use it. I’m Muhammad Hashir Ali, and I’m responsible for your data as the data controller. You can reach me at connect@mhashir.com.
What I collect
- What you send me through the enquiry form or by email: your name, email address, company, role and the details of your enquiry.
- If you book a call, the details you give the booking tool, such as your name, email and chosen time.
- Anonymous, aggregate visitor statistics, if analytics are switched on. These don’t use cookies or identify you.
How I use it
Only to reply to you, arrange and hold calls, prepare proposals and deliver work you ask for. I don’t sell your data or add you to mailing lists without asking.
Legal basis
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, I rely on legitimate interests to reply to enquiries, and on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract when we discuss work together.
Who else handles it
- Netlify, which hosts this site and receives form submissions.
- Microsoft 365, which hosts my email.
- Your booking tool, e.g. Microsoft Bookings or Cal.com
- Your analytics provider, if you add one
These providers may process data outside the UK and EU under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiries for up to 24 months unless we go on to work together, in which case I keep project records for as long as the contract and the law require.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how I use it, by emailing connect@mhashir.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data protection authority.

This site doesn’t set cookies. If that changes, this notice will be updated first.
